Autumn

For this piece, I was inspired by a recent photo shoot with my cousin. As I was editing the picture, I noticed that the color of her eyes were very similar to some of the leaves, and I thought it would be a great challenge to paint the photo somewhat realistically. When it came to the colors, I focused on capturing the deepness of the autumn leaves, as well as the color of her skin. I also wanted to leave (or should I say leaf) the brush strokes relatively loose to contribute to the organic feel of nature.
