Self-Portrait

The title of my painting is Self Portrait, not because I couldn't think of a name, but because I knew exactly  what it should be called. In this drawing, there a two faces portrayed: my mother and I. My mother made me who I am today. So even though there are two faces pictured, together they make a whole. With this drawing, I challenged myself to make it as realistic as I could- focusing especially on detail, and depth. Looking back at it now, I see that I could deepen the darker values to give it more dimension, but this is by far my most improved and realistic drawing.
