With this painting, I took on a new challenge: water color. I had seen pictures of watercolor galaxies and immediately knew I wanted to incorporate that in my next piece. I applied water to the paper first, then I applied the water color and blended it to my liking. I also wanted to paint something with meaning, thus the moon. As a child, my mom always said "I love you to the moon and back." The galaxy background represents endless love and the moon represents my mom.
